I keep forgetting to share my sock in progress with you. The sock in progress is the subject of much consternation in my family. I always have one (with four children, you find yourself knitting a lot of socks) and plus I like it for when I have coffee with my sweet husband before we go off to work. This pleases me no end, because I get to sit and talk politics (if you are an Alabama voter, please go and check out my personal hero, Supreme Court Justice Tom Woodall who debunked the whole Roy Moore/Tom Parker thing and is running for reelection) and knit socks.
So, here is the current sock, the basic pattern in Knit Socks! done in Cascade 220 Quattro. This yarn is so beautiful that it doesn’t require anything other than simplicity to look awesome.
i need to get on with it and finish my oat couture Laguna sweater.
I need to get on with it because, in addition to the Oh Jan dress, I’m getting ready to start a shawl in Hand Maiden Seasilk (I am so in love with this yarn!) after a very friendly telephone consultation with Nancy at http://www.colorsongyarn.com/. No affiliation, but I had to mention it because Nancy was so incredibly nice to work with, and after we emailed, she suggested calling me so we could discuss the colors. I ended up with the Paris colorway and I can’t wait to start work on this project!
I am so jealous (in a good way) of your amazing talent with knitting needles!!
