I am pleased and excited to announce that the bamboo baby sweater I was knitting for my friend T’s baby shower was finished, and on time due to a little all night knitting and finishing action. Actually, it was finished about a week ago, but I haven’t been holding out on y’all, just busy with the final touches in the transformation of my paper and fiber art website http://www.elliebelly.com, (which you must all promise to visit and tell me how you like it!). I finally have a reasonably quiet moment, with the baby nursing, to tell you about the sweater.
This picture is really not as sweet and delicate as the sweater actually is, but I took this on the run, because I stayed up all night seaming and blocking it, and then had to do the mad early morning dash for work (shower was a mid-afternoon, in the office thing), so this is the best one I got.
Here it is blocking
I never knit with foofy yarn, but really, the Filatura di Crosa Pom Pom yarn, albeit a pain in the butt to knit with, makes a perfect edging on a baby sweater and would be really cute on socks for a little girl.
Which brand of bamboo did you use?
That is a stinkin’ cute sweater! The new site looks great, too.
The new Elliebelly site looks great! Very user friendly & easy to navigate. I think I’ll go buy something to test that feature for you…… What are friends for? LOL
The sweater is so darling, Joyce! I am amazed at the many talents you posess.
Very cute sweater! Lovely job! 🙂
